  1. This group of four images seems linked thematically by the concept of home. Aspects of the project are uniquely personal to you, while others deal with human and environmental issues. Comparing the first and last image, the first shows your own story of areas in which you have lived, while the second deals with the human/environmental issue of how human beings utilize space for housing. The middle two images both examine societal inequality; some live in nice houses, some in shanties, some sleep in beds, others, in the street. I enjoyed this set of images for their diversity. Their stark differences contributes towards broader thought about housing and space.

  2. Before talking about the images, I wanted to say that the synopsis does a great job outlining the topics covered while addressing how the meaning of the appropriated. The appropriated photos have certainly changed in meaning as they are paired with different photos of similar themes to broaden the meaning with a group of images. The juxtaposition of the slum and nice house in the second image is a clear demonstration of how the meaning of the appropriated photo transforms when it appears with the other appropriated photos because it forces viewers to think about the different concepts of a home. The two collaged images at the ends successfully frames the inside images, giving the series a complete feel. Overall, I like the the use of an assortment of appropriated images in each image because it brings more meaning to the way you have moved around frequently.
